About Us
Sardinia is a beautiful island with amazing scenery and beaches, however, many people don't know about the rich culture of Sardinia and the incredible ancient history of the island. We like to think of Sardinia as a small continent, because of the extraordinary diversity in such close proximity--even the food specialties changes in each region of the island! Mostly unknown to the outside world is the archeological and historical patrimony of Sardinia and the "Nuraghe", exclusive archeological sites that can't be found anywhere else in the world.
The exquisite nature of Sardinia is also extremely diverse, with high mountains, deep canyons, waterfalls, forests, and not to mention our gorgeous coastline. We have a breathtaking sea with white sandy beaches with views that are difficult to come by anywhere else in the Mediterranean or anywhere else in the world. What is more, the weather in Sardinia is nearly perfect all year around (in the winter months it rarely falls below 8° C)!
Travellers will fall immediately in love with the charming traditions of Sardinia with many events with costumes and typical masks, and the interior of the island there are there is a cultural old centre with warm and friendly people who are happy to help visitors. Meet Pier Paolo of Insula Tour- your local connection in Sardinia! Pier has been working in the tourism sector ever since he was 19 years old. After 12 years of experience around the world and working for Club Med for four years, he returned to Sardinia and used his global experience in an outbound agency. However, it was his dream to work in an inbound agency, so he opened an incoming branch and opened only a new office. In his free-time, Pier enjoys reading, sports, gastronomy, trekking, sailing and also learning new languages- he is fluent in German, French, English, and is in the process of learning Spanish and Catalan!
What we Do
Our philosophy is to propose a more authentic Sardinia to travellers, that can't be found anywhere else. Most agencies sell exclusively Costa Smeralda or beach holidays in large resorts- so we try to offer an alternative for travellers wanting to experience the ‘real' Sardinia. We offer stays in small family run hotels with charming character in the local villages owned by Sardinians. We propose programs with original itineraries for those who want to explore the island and breathe the authenticity of it. Although we do offer luxury vacations, we aim to offer personalized programs to show the true side of Sardinia.
