Gabriella- The Hotel Owner
The warm welcome of Gabriella, the owner, is the beginning of several beautiful experiences guests can expect to have during their stay. In the kitchen, guests may not find a chef and his assistants; instead, a few old ladies of the village prepare original dishes of the ancient tradition here.In order to support local cuisine and culture, all the meals served are prepared with local products by local ladies using traditional recipes.
Guests are invited to stay at this wonderful former 17th century mansion for a historically and culturally enriching experience, whilst supporting the artisans of the Montiferru region. By collaborating with local producers, artists and historical experts, the hosts make sure guests are fully surrounded by the delights of Sardinian culture during their stay. Guests are served only the finest and freshest regional produce, which changes with the seasons to support the philosophies of the Slow Food movement. Antica Dimora del Gruccione, is a learning centre of the University of Scienze Gastronomiche, known for developing sustainable forms of tourism that respect people, biodiversity and ecosystems.
